yeah ive heard this happens to others. my weight has pretty much been between 235 and 237 for 2 weeks. tonight its 235. my surgery was 9/4 and i started at 263. i guess my body is trying to adjust. its just frustrating to go 2 weeks and not see it move and fear that i will never lose another pound! actually, i dont think i am eating enough. some days its so hard to get it all in with the water and vitamins and protein supps and of course food. i just wanted to vent a lil.

Yes you are right, this plateau is definitely your body's way of saying "whoa nellie!" It's very hard on the body losing weight so fast and those plateaus as frustrating as they are, are helping your body aclimate to these changes. You mention that you might not be getting enough to eat, and that may actually have something to do with the plateau. Just keep your focus on good nutrition, put the scale away if you can, for a few days, and give it time. We all go through this and we all come out the other end a heck of a lot lighter than we ever thought possible!

Chin up, it'll pass!

Hugs,
Amy

I believe it's absolutely normal.  Just don't let it get ya down!  I went 31 days without a loss, then it was 2 lbs.  I've only lost 8 lbs the last 3 months!  Inches are going though, so I won't complain...much.  Getting a fill November 9th.

The same thing happened to me at 2 1/2 weeks out. Then one morning I was down 5lbs! If I could give any advice (and take it myself lol) it would be to stay off the scale!! Maybe once a week, but when your in your first 6 months post op, theres not alot you can do to mess up if you follow Dr's orders. You will loose the weight, and You'll save yourself alot of stress with the darn scale!!
