Uterine Fibroids

Well I survived my pelvic ultrasound on Tuesday (must have drank enough) and today my primary physican called to say that I have fibroids in my uterous and I need to see a bynocologist.  I have an appointment for Monday morning.   I have been searching the internet  and the different treatment options are a little overwhelming.   Has anyone out there ever dealt with this issue?   I know the "old fashioned" treatment used to be a hystorectomy but my doctor said they do not do that much anymore and honestly I do not have enough sick time to be off work that long.  What ever they do is going to have to be a short and sweet recovery time..........lol.

Guess I am just curious as to what may be in store for me.   All I can say is once they are finished with medically, WLS, no more diabetes, take care of my female parts I am going to be like a old vintage car that has been completely rebuilt and ready for another 100,000 miles.....  new chasis and motor.

Hope everyone is having a great night.   Thanks again to everyone who offered advise about the ultrasound and the fluid intake!!!!
