Clothes?

Anyone have size 18's they are looking to unload? I need work clothes. I have plenty of 16's when I get there, but 18's...no luck. I thought I could wear my 20's until I get to size 16, but they are starting to look sloppy.

Sorry, can't help ya here. I am experienceing the same thing. Was in serious denial about not looking any smaller and still wearing my size 20's. Granted they were baggy, but like I said, serious denial! For kicks I treid on some old 18 jeans & they fit, also baggy! Still in denial, I thought "Well I can wear these through Fall anyways." This was last month. Last week I tried on some 16's @ Kmart. OMG! They fit too and still a little baggy. I didn't try on the 14's (enjoying the denial, I guess), but I did buy 2 pair of the 16's for $10.00 a piece. Right away my coworker's noticed. One said similar to what you said, "Girl, I am so glad you got some new clothes. You were looking sloppy."  I went home, bagged up all my fat clothes and took 'em to Salvation Army.  I get paid in 2 weeks. Maybe gonna try a 14 if the denial isn't too strong...

That is wonderful!! Congrats on dropping those sizes!

Denial is right...I keep pulling stuff out of my closet and saying "Oh, this won't fit yet" and it's actually big on me.
It stinks not having clothes, but I love that I'm shrinking out of them.

Keep up the good work!!

Try a thrift store if theres one near you. Ive found so many items there.......usually 3-4$$. It helps the budget when youre going threw sizes so fast!!

Funny you mention that, Kathy. I'm doing a search now for thrift stores near home or work. I actually found one not far from home. I may to check them out after work.

I wished that you had mentioned this a day earlier. I just took mine to Good Will. I've never shopped there before, but while I was there tried on awesome jeans that fit like they were made to order. I wouldn't have had this much luck if I was in a department store! They were $6.99 each. (Name brands and new.) Try it. Sometimes You might hit pay dirt. Take Care

It figures, but thanks anyway. I'm definitely going to check out the thrift stores in the area.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Hi Barbara, I gave all my 18's to someone in my support group, but I think she outgrew them, so I'll check with her.  What type of work do you do?  Is it safe to assume office work?  Are you looking for suits? Maryellen
