Hello everyone. After a few months of lurking (yeah, I know I should be ashamed..LOL) I have decided to jump in.
My name is Gina. I am an Army wife stationed in hell....errr, I mean Ft. Drum. I have 3 children. 2 boys ages 12, and 1.5....and one girl who is 9.
I just found out that my surgery is APPROVED!!!!
They say my surgery should be the end of Nov, but I don't know for sure yet. They are sending me a letter and that will have my pre-op appt and my date listed. I should be getting it in the next week. I am having RNY with Dr. Kim in Syracuse.

No more lurking for you! There are a few of us here who've gone to the same office and who have also had Dr. Kim. I had Dr. Simon for my surgery. You're in great hands with anyone from this group. All of the staff are superb!...Marcy, Deb, Mimi, Sue, Christine, Rob, Mary, etc. Keep us posted on the date!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! It is nice to see some fellow Dr. Kim Patients on here.
I am sure I will have tons of questions for all of you.
I feel like the surgery is all I have been thinking about since I found out I was approved. It almost feels surreal. I have so many emotions going on. I am excited, nervous, anxious, and to be honest...scared too.
Wow, this really is gonna happen huh? LOL
