I cried again today!!

Ok - for a different reason that the other day!!! I have some incredible friends!! I got this desperate phone call this morning from a good friend of mine & she had this great news she HAD to tell me!!! ok, ok, I called her back & then she sprung it on me!!! She has been so inspired by what I am doing & my enthusiasm about it all despite the bumps here & there that she wanted to do something to honor me!! My mom died of breast cancer almost 5 yrs ago & she decided this morning that she wanted to walk in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure here in downtown Albany on Oct 6th in honor of my mom (who, btw I dont think she ever met)!! So not only does she want to do this - she is obviously getting donations & selling hot dogs today at her friends' flag football game - but she is putting a kitty together & for every lb I lose between now & the time of my surgery she is putting $10 in it & donating that money to the cause!!! I want to hit 50lbs before my surgery so that would be 10 more lbs & she said even if I lost 50 more it didn't matter!!! HOLY COW!!! I couldn't believe it!! My sister happened to be here with me when she called & we were both crying when I told her!!! So I guess it's time to get my butt moving & make her eats her words!!

Thanks for listening!! I needed to tell someone!!! Now I am off to get the word out to my family & friends to support her!!! WOW!! Just when you think people in this world are selfish something like this changes everything!!! Cece
