Congrats on your recent surgery!!!! I agree: caffeine hasn't hurt my weight loss...if anything it helps! When I feel hungry, a cup or coffee or even iced coffee kills that hunger. Keep connected and let us know how you are doing! Hugs, Karen

I drink it here and there. Not on a regular basis. I saw a diet doctor pre wls and he encourage all his patients to use caffeine to speed up their metabolism.  Donna open rny mar 18 2003 282/144/140

I drink an AchievOne every morning, sometimes 2. Otherwise, not too much.

Hi everyone.... I haven't had my surgery yet, nor did I start the Medifast yet, and I was an AVID Soda drinker. I gave up soda, COLD Turkey. I lost 17 pounds.

I drink now, don't laugh, Lemon-Lime Kool Aide with Splenda. Yummy!  Ocassionally, I would have a Large Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla Coffee Light and EXTRA Sweet. My best freind, ANgel, got me to try it with Splenda, and now I am LOVING IT. I especially love their Raspberry Coffee Light and with 7 Splenda. And I am loving Sprite Zero.

I am going to give up the Sprite Zero and the Coffee and stay to water. So wish me luck!!

Surgery is 11/28!!

Oh Tinamarie - be prepared to give up that Splenda while on Medifast!! I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you get the same packet of info I got it specifically says no Sweet-N-Low or Splenda!  I was ok with it for the most part but on days when I get sick of water & am at work it's extremely diffcult to find iced tea that doesn't have any in it & I am a unsweetened tea girl!!! Brace yourself now!! Sorry! Cece

Cece, I was kinda aware of that. It doesn't really matter to me either way. I have come way to far to be worried about Splenda. Thanks for the heads up tho!!

Why do you have to give up Splenda for Medifast? Does it explain why? What exactly is the Medifast sweetened with??? hmmmmmm.....I'm a bit cynical about that! Hugs, Karen

Karen - Ya know - that's a good question! I never really asked cus I hardly ever used the stuff. Maybe the next time me or Tinamarie are in the office we can ask!! I will be there thursday - I'll try to remember!! (My big hematologist appt is tomorrow afternoon so my mind is on that at the moment but I will try to remember to ask!!)  ok - I just pulled a box out of the cabinet... the 2nd ingredient is fructose, there is also acesulfame potassium (non-nutritve sweetener). oh wait here's corn syrup solids. I think that's all I found. I think I will ask just for giggles & laughs!!  Cece
