Just a Reminder of 1 of My Fav NY Events

This Saturday is the Fat Girl Flea Market--don't let the name turn you off, there are no fleas and they carry size L to sometimes 6X.  At the fashion show this past Saturday night, I showed 14 outfits put together from some of the items that had been donated and they were HOT!! I even got bids on a KILLER black and white houndstooth wool coat ONLY $10.00 & pair of size 12 Svoboda jeans $40 a pair (much better than $185 a pair)!!!!!  So here's the info I posted before, if your coming you should look for me (I'll be working the Svoboda table) I'd love to meet some OH'ers!!! ********************************************************************************************************

I'm a MAJOR clothes horse!! And since WLS I've cleaned out everything in my closet above a size 16--YEAH ME!! I was a 22 the morning of surgery.

There's an event here in the city where if anyone has clothes that are too big or your like me and need some transition clothes you can get some great stuff for little $$.... Here's the details, I wanted to pass along one of my favorite things to some of my fellow NY'ers who may not have heard about it. Last year I volunterred to help, met some great people and got first dibs on some great clothes that this year I've donated back since I'm too skinny to wear them :D (Man, that so ROCKS to say that!):D

5th annual Fat Girl Flea Market: NYC, Sat 9/29 The 5th annual Fat Girl Flea Market is an amazing and cheap shopping frenzy! The fleamarketeers, as they call themselves, collect clothes in sizes XL to 6X and above. Women from all over the country donate their unworn or gently loved clothing. Many still have tags and all are in great condition. Everything from jeans to coats to swimwear to suits to formal dresses can be found, with nothing more than $10 and most items under $5. This year's flea market will take place from 11am 8pm, on Saturday September 29, 2007, at the Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Transgender Community Center, located at 208 West 13th St, between 7th and Greenwich Avenues. I was going to, but I'm doing the walk from obesity that morning. You get to meet me looking gross and sweaty! (Oh wait, it s a 2 mile walk. I'll be fine. Maybe I'll walk it in jean, lol). Yay, I'll see you! And I need some clothes. Something cute!

I'm really hoping I can make it. I'm quickly fitting into 18s and 16s won't be too far off. I NEED WORK CLOTHES!!

I know I donated A LOT of 18's and last week 16's too, since I'm now in the 12's!!(Me happy dancing). Best to get there early so you see everything before the good stuff is all gone.
