Stomach Growling

My stomach has been growling  ( very loudly i must say) over the last few days but I'm not hungry........is this normal and just part of the whole recovery period

Hi Christine,  I have some grumpling at times but I thought it was more in the gas family and I've taken some gas x and they seem to pass.  How are you doing/feeling?  I'm going to the Panera Suffolk Support Group Meeting in Bohemia tomorrow (tuesday).  It meets between 7-9.  I didn't know if you were interested in joining me.  Let me know.    Jessica

I'm 17 weeks out and my stomach growls louder than it ever has.  Usually, it's because I am hungry.  I've never experience this before.  I guess I always ate and ate and ate, never giving my stomach time to tell me it was hungry!

I would love to join you but I can't tonight as it is my daughter's 17th b-day and her and I are going to my sister's in law's house to celebrate it.  They making her a seafood feast!  Let me know if you go to the next one and I'd love to join you.  I am going to the Good Sam one on Saturday if you want to come.  It's 9-10:30 I think.  Let me know.

I dont think........well I know that Im not hungry so that is why I'm assuming its growling and not hunger pains.  It can get embarrassing at times when your with your co workers and of course it will start when their is total silence.

Hi Christine, I sure get a lot of growling too.  I am guessing its a combo thing of hunger and gas LOL  I do burp a lot too!   I was wondering what meeting at Good Sam are you going to on sat?  All I have for a support group info is the meeting on Sept. 26th at 7pm

It's funny b/c your stomach isn't the one "growling".  That sounds come from the small intestine from the gastric juices mixing.  So I guess the saying should be "my sm intestine is growing".  be well.

When did you have your surgery?  My stomach growled alot the first 90 days...then it subsided...I do think its probably hungry--I never let myself get hungry before...hehehe.

I had my surgery exactly 5 wks ago today and I'm not sure that I'm hungry bc I don't feel hungry and my head isn't telling me I'm hungry.
