Well, I am officially one step closer!! Yesterday was my fun filled day at Ellis Hospital!! I started the morning off with an ultrasound, chest xray & my all-tme fav Upper GI!! I can say the Upper GI wasn't too bad but it still was not pleasant!! At least the barium crap stayed down!!! I will admit I felt a litlle queasy by the time I left there!! Could've been because the barium was the only thing I had to eat or drink since the night before!!  After that experience I was off to the pulmonary lab with a mandatory stop at the water vending machine!!   Oh yeah & my 2nd fav part of the day... the blood gas check!!! So why didn't they mention that someone was going to stick a needle into my artery??? Geez, as if my veins aren't bad enough to find!! (yes, I know I will be a human pin cushion during the surgery but I am prepared for that... this was a surprise!!) The tech went to get another person to do it & he did a great job!! Turned out he was related to a good friend of mine & knows a bunch of my family!! Talk about a small world!!! Then I went to get my ekg!! Everything seemed to go well... I hope!! So, anyway now I am just that much closer to the big day!!! I can't believe how quickly the time has flown!!!  Thanks everybody for all of your support!!! You guys are great!!! Cece

Feels good, doesn't it? Some days the process seems so s-l-o-w like the big day will never get here. Other days,  ya cross something off your list and it seems so close. Then BAM, it's here before ya know it! Congratulations to you!!

yes...those few weeks before surgery are jammed pack with procedures...but, it is all worth it...and it keeps your mind occupied...you are going to have anxious moments...but, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel Rosemary
