NSVs

I went to get blood drawn and I fit into the little "high chair" they put you in...they could even put down the bar...they used to have to use a pillow for my arms...it was such a victory for me Rosemary

That is a great NSV Rosemary! I go through the same thing where they have to use a pillow. That's something to look forward to...not having to use the pillow.

Here's a few of many of my NSVs:

*I shop in regular clothing stores off the rack
*I don't feel like a freak when I walk into a public place
*I feel I have the right to be alive
*I have power over something that has in the past, made me feel so powerless
* I actually like the way I look in the mirror (sometimes I don't even recognize myself!)
*I am no longer taking Lipitor to lower my cholesterol
*I have hope.

So many more, but that's a start....This is a great topic! Can I share it with my WLS support groups?

Of course you can share it with your support group!! I find it so motivating to hear about, don't you?

I flew in an airplane and was able to buckle the seatbelt without an extension. I was able to pull the driver's seat in my car forward so I'm not stretching to reach the wheel anymore. I bought a pair of jeans at Target for $15. I'm wearing those jeans right now, and they are a size **46**!! (When I had surgery, I was wearing 60's; at my largest, I had to have custom-made 63's.) I have NO hip or lower back pain. I still have occasional knee pain, especially when its humid.
