Getting very frustrated but I can't quit now!!

So, yesterday I go to my PCP for my 3rd monthly visit (I need 6) and she tells me that I am anemic, have constant urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence and I have to get my liver checked because my enzymes were high.  So now I have to go a urologist and go to another doctor to get a renal/bladder sonogram and an abdominal sonogram.  So, 2 more doctors now to add to the list that I already had to get all of my clearances.  I feel like this is the biggest challenge I have ever had to go through.  Next Tuesday I have my endoscope and I was hoping that was the only procedure that I would have to go through.  So now I am on antibiotic for the infection.  I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome so now they want me to take birth control pills and metformin which will regulate my insulin.  I have never been on medication but now with all of the pre-testing they decide to put me on it.  This makes me kind of aggravated since before all of this I was on zero medication and now I am already on 4.  And I am sure the number will go up to 5 after the gastro sees that I have acid reflux.  I just want all of this testing to be done and hopefully nothing else goes wrong so I could get surgery by the end of the year like I hoped.

One question since the above was just me venting.  I have to go see my PCP once a month for 6 months before I get approved.  I have read that many of you have gone through this and I was just wondering….do you have to go and finish the 6 month appt before insurance will approve you or will they start the approval process in the 5th month.  Just wondering.  I am so trying not to get discouraged and I know that I won’t because I want this so bad but boy is it tiring and brings me down a little you know?  Well, thank again for listening.

Lil my love! Dont get discouraged!  I know that it's a lot of work but the end results are so worth it!  And for the meds, Im sure its just for insurance purposes to get you approved because if the insurance sees that there is something wrong they wont approve you...hang in there, I know you can do it! If you need to talk or anything call me! I'd love to see you!  *Bejinhos* --Sofia

Lili, It took me 2 whole years to get through the "process" and I did it TWICE!!  You have to be patient.  The results are well worth it in the end.  Looking back, I'm glad I did my research and was at peace by the time I finally found the right surgeon for me.  If I had gone through it with my original choice, I would have regretted it for the rest of my life!!  (long story) Thank God he was watching over me.  Believe that the Universe is moving you along at the correct pace for you.  I did not have to do 6 months of PCP visits so just hang in there.  You will be off of ALL those meds after your surgery.  Just look at it as a temporary fix for now to get you prepped for your big day.  It will be a honeymoon period well worth your "weight" ....(ha ha)  no pun intended.  Love, Trish
