Personal Trainer

I have to tell you. This is now my second week working out with my trainer.  Tuesday is my surgery and I can honestly say I am ready for it!   I have not worked out like this in MONTHS. I am so happy that I have started now. It is motivating and I have re-gained energy.  I would encourage anyone who is preparing for this surgery to start exercising now. Don’t wait, even if it is walking or riding a bike. You will not believe how it good it feels.

The funny thing is. Tonight while I was waiting for my trainer, there were these beautiful, skinny girls working out and my first thought was to be jealous of them.  Then I realized. I am doing exactly what these skinny ladies are doing. I am getting healthy. They are no better than me nor am I better than they  (English teachers out there did I say that right?).

Have a good evening!

Lauren, You have such a positive attitude. It is really an inspiration.  I couldn't ask for a better person to share my surgery date with.  We are starting a new life together and together we will succeed. 6 days and counting till the loser's bench! Hugs, Lisa

you said it right and soon you will be that beautiful skinny person.... just remember it doesnt stop after surgery...... support is very important on long island we meet at pannera bread in bohemia.... its a great tool along with excersise and water water water ..... i myself didnt excersise before my surgery but got a very active job afterwards that helps me with cardio lifting and basically all the things you do in a gym good luck to you for a perfect surgery and an easy recovery

Thanks Stacy for sharing your wisdom. Right now I am very motivated and psyched. But I am certain there will be times of low valleys. I agree with the support groups. I go to the one at Mercy and I was headed for the last Panera one but had a car accident. The next support group at Mercy is the day of my surgery but I will be at them post-op. Thanks again! Oh and Cheri, yes he is cute and I think single. However I am a happily married woman so I must say I did not give it mcuh thought. Especially hanging upsdie down (a 275 pound woman hanging upside down doing situps is not very lovely to look at and the only thing I am thinking during my work out is "How am I going to get off this crazy piece of equipment without falling on my face,  or getting my really big, tight, t-shirt not stcuk on the knob causing it to get torn... ?"

Nevertheless, it is fun!
