I had my surgery 18 days ago and I'm due for my mthly vistor!  I'm having such cramps and pains in my stomach that I dont know what to do.  Is there anything I can take or anything I can do.

I got mine a week after surgery.  I just took tylenol.  I also kept walking and that seemed to help.

Hi Christine, The first menstral cycle after my surgery was heavier and more uncomfortable than usual.I was only about 3 weeks post op. My doctor advised me to take Extra Strength Tylenol for pain post op---so I tried it for my cramps. I do have to say it worked pretty well. It's in the same area as the Children's Tylenol; but it is clearly marked Extra Strength.  Hope you're feeling better!!! The up side to this is that when it was over, I was down 3 or 4 lbs!!!
Many Blessings

Hi Christine,
That was going to be my advice too. I had some leftover lortabs from surgery. I would take 1/2 of one for my cramps. They work great!!!
Now that I don't have anymore I just take Tylenol. It doesn't take all the pain away, just takes the edge off for me. I don't know if we can take Mydol or Pamprin or not. I have a Dr. appt on the 11th, and that was going to be one of my questions for him.

Good Luck!!

Thank You Ladies for all your advise.  I'm heading right to the drug store to get some extra strength tynenol today.  I ended up using a heating pad on my belly and went to  bed but woke up crampy this morning but not like last nite.

Does the extra strength tynenol come in liquid form or i had to get the pill form and cru**** up?

Hi Christine,
You don't have to cru**** up you should be able to swallow pills. I was swallowing pills the day after my surgery. I couldn't handle the liquid lortab.
Good luck!!! Hope you feel better soon!

Ugh! I got mine the second week after surgery and it was horrible!  It was worse than any of my pre-op periods by far.  I was still  home on leave, so I ended up taking my pain killers for a couple days.  My entire abdomen just felt like it was being squeezed and sat on for the whole week.  It sucked.  I also used Tylenol for the rest of that week.  Be prepared for it to be long and ugly...mine sure was.  I hope next month is more normal!
