My first response was I don't know what to say so I wasn't going to, I've had the Lap band surgery and that wasn't as scary to me.  What your about to do is more invasive but you have by now weighed your options and made your decision on that.  While I am told I will lose slower and could take me 3 yrs to get to where I would in a year or so with the RNY again I thought for me it was the best choice.  I had to wrestle it out and get peace with it in my heart.  Once I did that I was ok.  I had some nervousness the week or so before surgery.  The usual "OMG what if I fail at this" and "this is forever are you sure??" LOL but when it was all said and done yes, I was sure and yes I am ready to make this change in my life.   So my adivce to you my friend, is to settle this in your heart and get peace with God and know this is what you are to do.  Then rest!

It is completely normal to be anxious...I was having doubts right up until they put me out...but, its the best decision I ever made.  Here's to a "textbook" surgery and recovery for you... Rosemary

Morning!  You'll have many emotions flying through between now and surgery.  I haven't seen anyone ever post they haven't.  You're going to do great!   It will be one of the best decisions you can make for yourself and what a change you'll find in your quality of life!

The Jitters are perfectly OK to have and you will have a million and one other things floating in your mind too. Try to be at peace with your decision and put it in God's hands. Go with the flow and get all the things in order around the home. You'll be just fine....you just wait and see. Keep us updated. Take Care~~ Diane
