Anybody Experience.....
Congrats on your surgery and congrats of feeling so well. Keepup the great work. Its a rollercoaster of a ride. I find even today 2 years out i have great days and not so great days. I have great weeks then not so great weeks. It varies. But its so worth the ride. Glad yours started out so well.

Thanks for all of your replies! It's good to know that others have felt this way too. I was beginning to worry that the doc didn't make my pouch small enough or something!
I've been following my rules to the letter and I suppose that is why I'm doing so well. I'm walking up to two miles at a time, 3-4 times a week, taking all my meds and vitamins, and having at least one, sometimes two protein shakes a day. I feel fabulous. I'm sleeping better than I have in years and without the use of sleep-aids.
On September 10th I get advanced to soft to normal foods and I'm very curious to see if everything continues to go this smoothly. I sure hope it does!
I've said it before and I'll say it again and again...this surgery is such a gift!!!

I had the same experience. If it weren't for the fact that I ate so little, I would swear the Dr. hadn't done anything to me. I didn't have a trouble with any new foods at all except eggs made me feel a little funny the first few times. In fact, I haven't been sick at all or had any discomfort until a couple of weeks ago. I think that day I ate too quickly and had some pain. It's so strange to think that it's been almost 1 year and I haven't even had the foamies. Guess I've been really lucky.
Glad to hear things are going so well for you! Enjoy beginning the more regular foods. You may find that your tastes have changed and some things won't taste as good to you or some things you weren't so fond of before will taste great. It's funny how that happens. Just remember to take it slow and chew, chew, chew!
