WHY IS THE DEVIL WORKING OVERTIME AROUND ME?

Today I opened my mail from Empire  Blue Cross now mind you it was  dated fpr August 15th I had my procedure done on August 10thand the Hospital called me prior to give them all my insurance information and they told me to come in at 5:30 a,m, everything is fine. Well today this letter states that the requsts for the dates of service 8/10/2007 through 8/10/2007 cannot be approved because they did not comply with evidence-based criteria specifically it is considered an out-patient procedure only out=patient setting is approved nothinf was noted such as coronary artery disease  heart failure cardiac valve disease severe  lung disease poorly controlled diabetes or asthma anticoaguiant theropy coagulopathy or impaired mobility req a wheekchair or walker no signiicant medicalinstability or significant complications after the surgery were noted.... What about my sleep apnea? that I have how come that does not count strange  was this lette rwas sentt 5 days after my procedure  my union is paying forThe actul lap-band  which was approved for me.  The            hospital called me to vereify my empire blue cross and said it is approved why would I receve this lette Help does anybody know .  Thank you Kelly

That sounds weird! I would be on the phone first thing Monday morning to EBC and the hospital!! Sounds like something is wrong. That makes no sense to me!

Have to love the insurance and hospitals they cant get anything right.  Always have to cause undue stress.  Give them a call.  Good luck. LisaMarie

Definitely call as soon as you can.  My ins. co. did something similar.  When I called, they had all the right info in their computer, and didn't know why I got a letter with wrong info on it.  Just double check.
