New to the site looking for information on MVP HMO coverage?

Hi Everyone, 
I am hoping to have the RYN by the end of the year. I am only in the assessment stages; I have my initial physical appointment on 9/24 then meet with Dr. Clark on 9/28. I have MVP HMO and I am hoping I won't have to jump through hoops for coverage. Anyone have any experience with them? I am somewhat of worry wart, I tend to assume the worst any advice would be appreciated!

Welcoome & Congrats on making the decision to change your life. I too have MVP (NYS employee) & was told by them that the surgery is covered. I am in the middle of my pre-surgery Medifast jourmey & as of yet have not had to deal with them but I don't anticipate any problems. So far everything has been covered (except the shakes) - no questions asked!! I will let you know though if I do run into any issues with them. Good luck!!

Thank you so much that is very reassuring to know. I have not had any issues with MVP yet, and hopefully everything will go smoothly. I hope to also beging my journey to surgery soon but please keep me posted. It is nice to know that I am no alone and so many people truly understand what I am going through.
