I need your help!! I am a pretty good cook but I am so at a loss for ideas for my veggies!!! I am on my 12 week Medifast program & at dinner time can only have protein & veggies so making them taste good is crucial!! I love them steamed & even roasted (broccoli & brussel sprouts) but I would love suggestions to spice them up even more!!! I tend to eat a lot of green & yellow beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts & spinach. There isn't really a veggie I don't like except beets & I don't think I can have them right now anyway!! I obviously have to stay away from corn  & peas but almost anything else is allowed!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!  Thanks!! Cece

Have you tried some of the new spice mixes in the baking aisle?  Emerl has some, and Bobby Flay, and others.  One of my favs is plain old McCormacks California Garlic Salt (it has parsley in it and it's really good on broccoli and cauliflower.)  I like Italian season on zucchni and I love a drop or 2 of sesame oil and soy sauce on green beans.   Happy roasting :)

How about some roasted asparagus with just a touch of olive oil, salt and pepper. Yummy.

To spice up your greens a little, add just a touch of red pepper flakes. Perks those babies right up. Just don't add too much.

Zucchini, squash, eggplant...all sliced and cooked on the grill with just a little olive oil, salt and pepper.

Have you tried the Birdseye steamer veggies in the frozen food section?  I absolutely LOVE the cauliflower, it has a garlic seasoning blend that is just delicous.

I like to spice up my veggies with Mrs. Dash.  There are so many different combinations you can get.  I also use a little I can't believe it's not butter spray.  Yum!!
