Gurgling?
I'm not exactly sure why this happens. When I have my veggie soup (very thin puree) there's a gurgling sound that comes from where I imagine my pouch is. This doesn't happen when I drink my protein shake or my flavored waters.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Yup, happens to me; it's the soup trickling down. Happens w/some foods/liquids w/me too.
Rachelle,
First off....WOW!!! You put "Liza with a Z" to shame!!! So nice to see the beautiful face behind the beautiful person!
I am almost a year out and certain foods make Oscar-the-Pouch make weird noises!!! I can't find the pattern but I think it's more with warm/hot foods than cold foods such as cheese/protein drinks.
ALWAYS tell your surgeon when you see them just in case but my guess would be that it's nothing!
HUGS...and keep up the great work!

I had a similar experience with the no-sugar-added-fat-free butter pecan icecream you find at most roadside icecream stands. It seriously sounded like I swallowed a puppy- all the whining and gurgling! It didn't hurt, just lasted for an hour and was really loud! I'm glad I was home when all that was goi9ng on! The doc thougt it may be something to do with the sugar alcohols.
I get it from A LOT of No Sugar Added products, it's my bodies reaction to artificial sweetners!!! I can't tolerate most! Including splenda!!!! If I eat too much it's more than just the gurgles!!!
Good luck!

You will find that your pouch will make those funny noises alot. I'm 3 1/2 years out and it still makes those noises, even when it's empty. It's nothing. Probably a combination of things moving through and a little gas.
Keep up the good work and as always any concerns should always be addressed by your surgeon.
