help me........

help me...............my weight is now 157... help me.. i was 153 pounds. how do i stop the snacking and baking... the 28th i will be 4 years out.. what you think go back to clear liquids for 2 weeks and ect.... i need help. i have no one local to talk to... i do exercise also... please help me. should i do protein drinks????????? i dont know how to stop..... i am eating pb and jelly sanwhiches even though i am not hungery................ i dont know what to do................ this has to stop.........      i wish i had someone local to talk to in person but i dont... but the oh is a big help and support..... anita

Anita, Good for you seeking help at 4 pounds up!  Back away from the PBnJ!!!! You can do this - get back to basics - YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. I would do protein drinks & water for two days - then back to basics - protein - protein- protein  water - 3 meals - no snacking - you are exercising - good for you! think about how bad you want this - or DON'T want this weight gain and as NIKE says"JUST DO IT"  We are here to cheer you on!  hugs, Britt

britt,  i froze the rest of my italian wheat bread so the bp and jelly sanwhich monster wont show up... i did leave out a few slices..................  hmmm do protein drinks for 2 days... with milk? i use skim milk........... i did try time out for 1 day. i did fine with it. then i was going to do a modified time out but then couldnt control myself. i will start the shakes tomoorow and see what that will do and i will tell hubby to hide the scale. he has done that to me before. i did put it up but i still step on the scale... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..     yes i do exercise 3 days a week at the hospital's wellness center gym. i did it for an hour today, well tommorow is a new day............ i do snack on sf jello and sf jello popciles. i figure they wont hurt me......... thanks. anita

Hey sweetie!  We're all here to support ya.  Are you eating all of your meals?  How many calories are you eating a day?  My nutritionist told me in order for me to lose weight, I'd have to eat under 1000 cals a day.  I'm 5'5".  I would suspect that might be right for most women.  I NEVER skip breakfast anymore, when before surgery it was a RARE case when I did eat it.  Get some grapes or some type of fruit to munch on if you must.  (I know sometimes when we have kids in the house PB&J is a must.)  As for the baking...ahh takes too much time...RIGHT>?  lol  too hot, RIGHT>?  *WINK*

hi cheri, yes i do eat all my meals. i did quit fitday since the carb numbers was too high. i worry about carbs alot. i was trying to get in at least 1200 calories a day and at least 100 of carbs. i want to lose weight  but that bmr  says i have to eat 1700 calories to lose weight. i'm about 5'7 or 5'8 . i dont skip breakfast. like today i had bran flakes with some raisins and skim milk. sometimes i have eggs.if i have grapes or any fresh fruit i will eat, eat them. i have no control over fresh fruit, then there is that word carbs again.. for the fruit... well i will try and no bake. like hubby says if its not in the house we wont eat it. yesterday i made sf blackberry cobbler and a few days ago i made sf. pumpkin pie. i keep wanting to make homemade bread and homemade pizza. but i guess that will have to wait till i gain control. thanks for your time. anita

Four pounds up and you're seeking help is proactive and you should feel comforted in knowing that you're taking a stand for yourself. You mentioned several times that you have nobody to talk to. Maybe there's something to that. Can you get into counseling? Emotional eating is a challenge for us all and we need to dig in and see what the issues are that are driving us to seek comfort in food.

Also, you should touch base with your nutritionist. Maybe there is a deficiency that's underlying and your hunger stems from that? If not, your nutritionist will certainly have ideas on how to manage hunger with dietary changes.

amy,  today my weight was 155 pounds. i am going to ask hubby to hide the scale. i never had couseling. am i an emotional eater? i dont know........ one time i saw my nutritionist and she gave me a paper for diabetic diet. i'm not a diabetic. thanks for your help. anita
