I went for my appt for clearence to go back to work. And I lost 35lbs it will be 6 weeks post op monday. I was so excited. Today was my first day back to work and I am so exchausted. I work in a factory and do lifting turning twisting and grinding all day long. It was so hot in there too. I had a protein bar from mylopex and it was pretty tasty. I also brought some yogurt and had alot of water. When I got home I crashed on the couch. how come now I am the same weight as last summer and my clothes I wore last summer are still to tight on me? I now have nothing to wear except for 2 pairs of capris. and all my shirts are to big.I went shopping and can't find any thing I like,or they don't have my size. ok enough *****ing I am gonna hit the hay. Wow -- 35 lbs.!  You must feel fantastic!!  Good for you! I'm sure work must have been so tiring.  You will be less tired soon.  It's hard to just throw yourself into that much activity at once.   All the best to you -- LisaD

Hey Sheila!!
Congrats on the 35 lbs!!
I don't envy you at all working in this heat in a faxtory!! Oh how I can relate!! That's one thing I don't miss!! Glad to hear that work went well. The heavy lifting, bending and twisting didn't bother you?
Well have a great week-end I will try to call you Sunday or Monday evening.

Hi Sheila,

You can start to actually use your work as exercise if you really get into it.  Exaggerate those movements.  For those of us with desk jobs, we have to get up and move to exercise, but you have physical stuff in yours.

And isn't it depressing when you're clothes get too big (NOT!!!!)  Just don't buy too much new stuff because you will find that as soon as you buy them, you won't get that much wear before they start getting baggy, too.  I made that mistake.  I ordered from ebay early on and found by the time my delivery came, the stuff was too big.  So I started ordering a couple of sizes smaller and eventually they started fitting.  I also sold back a bunch of stuff on ebay as it got too big.

Anyway, congrats on your success and all the best for continued success.  Keep it up!

Sue

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is. - Ellen DeGeneres

Sheila, GREAT NEWS on the 35 pounds!  I am sure work was tough...twisting and turning is really hard for a while.   I understand completely about the clothes thing...I have 3 pairs of capris that fit...and my shirts are swimming on me.  I am going on vacation in 7 weeks...hopefully I will have enough clothes to take.   Keep up the good work...you are well on you way...Congratulations!
