Decision Made!

Well I just got back from my post-op visit with my surgeon and after a long talk with him and alot of reading message boards and emailing and chatting with people I decided to go with the RNY. But he changed my date to 10/1.  He told me how inflamed my insides were from the slip and my stomach is so swollen, especially where he removed the port so we decided to give my body a 2 month period to heal from the trama the lapband caused my stomach and the subsquent emergency removal. I feel VERY confidant about my decision and my husband is now in my corner after speaking to my MD with me. So again MANY THANKS to everyone for their support! Jane

Jane, Glad you got to speak in length with your surgeon!  This is a decision only you, hubby and your Dr can make once you knew all the info. Also I am glad your hubby has come around, sometimes it is just that they are scared and it takes some time to learn. My mother was like that in the beginning as well but once I had her so some reading she was better with it. I wish you all the best and Oct will be here before we know it. ~hugs~
