WLS Support group Eastern Long Island?

Ok so I am reaching out to you all.......I live in Setauket (east end LI) and I really would like to go to a support group.  MY WONDERFUL surgeons group is about 1 hr away and I have a hard time getting there with the baby..............Does anyone belong to or know of a group out my way......I am sooooo happy with my journey and I would love to speak to others for any ideas and suggestions ( as I am open to all of them)  I must say thank you to all of you on this board......you have been supportive, kind, helpful, and reassuring that I have made the right decision.  Thanks to all and I open all suggetsions........ 10 days post op 11 lbs GONE FOREVER!!!!!! Wow its soooooooooo nice to be able to say forever!!! XOXOX Dana

Hi Dana, I'm not sure how close it is to you, but there is a group that meets the third Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Panera Bread in Bohemia.  If you want more info email me.

excellent support group run by our own maryellen at pannera bread this month the group meets there on the 21st  you shouldnt miss it as support is one of our major tools since no one else gets us...... hope to see you there.......

Hey Dana,  I work at Stony Brook Univ. and I am looking to form a local support group that could meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  Currently I attend the monthly support group for Dr. Ahmad's patients at St. Charles/Mather Hospital but it is not frequent enough for me.  If you are interested, let me know.  Panera Bread in Sayville is way too far for me on a work night - I would simply not make it there in time and probably miss half of the group session by the time I got there.  Message me if you like.  Susan
