My Office Visit Report.
Hi Everyone.
Had a Drs. appt the other day. 58 pounds have now melted off this ol' bod of mine.
I feel energized and psyched.
All of my labs were excellent and cholesterol and tryglycerides were outstanding.
BUT........my iron was borderline low.
I wished that nothing was said because I'm kind of obsessing about all of the things that can go wrong now. Rather than prescibe an iron pill, she wants me to work through it with iron rich food.
I wonder if the fact that I have a distaste for meat since WLS has anything to do with this. I make very sure to get all my protein in through other means like legumes, eggs, cheese, nuts & fruits.
She says it is nothing to be concerned about at the moment but we will keep an eye on it when I come in 3 more months for more lab work and check up.
Anyhow, that's my story for now. I absolutely don't feel sluggish or dizzy like she asked and told her to please not put that suggestion in my head because I'm too susceptible. ( I'll friggin' hop into bed for the rest of my life if she even hints that's something is wrong!)
Still have not lost any hair.
What do you think? Will I live? (LOL......with a serious edge.)
Sincerely~~
Diane

Congratuations on your weight loss...its awesome. I understand about the taste changes after surgery. I have problem with artificial sugar. The sugar-free stuff tastes awful to me and I ate these things all my life. Yes, red meat would be ideal to raise your iron rate. Did the Dr. give you a list of iron-rich foods?
Good Luck and please keep us updated.
Rosemary
