questions to ask Dr.c
Dr.caruana told me to bring a list of questions and I know there are hundreds but since he has told me to I can not think of anything. Can anyone think of any I might want to ask him. My DH said he has a whole bunch but has asked none. He wants to know what will happen if there is an emergency after I come home, Is our Hospital ready for this and if I have to see Dr. C will I be able to see him or will I have to see another Doctor. We are about an hour and 45 mins away from him, and it was so hard to get into him in the first place. That is the only question I have now that my dh has asked. Jaimee
Hi!
Did you mean questions to ask after surgery?
I know several people on this baord who have Dr. C. as their doc, I guess though, my thoughts are:
1. How many days in the hospital?
2. What diet and nutrition support is in place for after surgery?
3. What do you have to do to prepare for the surgery, i.e. prep prior to day of surgery, post-op diet, medications...?
Not sure if this is what you were asking. But good luck!

Hi, I actually learned quite alot from the nutriction class. They discussed what to expect in the hospital, etc. I was lucky...I didn't have any problems after surgery. It is a worry to think about taking problems to our local hospital...its a tough call..but, if you have problems it might be worth a trip to Sisters.... Rosemary
Hi Jaimee,
I just had my surgery on 8/2/07 with Dr. C. The one thing I suggest is you ask someone to sleep over with you at the hospital. After surgery they put these booties on your feet to prevent blood clots, and everytime you need to go to the bathroom someone has to come in and take them off and unplug the iv machine. Well, I called the nurses and waited for an hour and a half before I finally unplugged everything my self and took my self to the bathroom. So someone staying with you would be able to help you, because the nurses dont.
