Yes, I know someone who actually had the procedure done. I am not sure of details, but I do know that this person had RNY 6 years ago and it was a non- ivasive procedure.( hope i spelled that right) they did it like they do an endoscopy. If you cant find a Dr. near you, you can always take a ride to Long Island, from what I understand you have the procedure done and go home from the hospital the same day. Good luck. Hope to see ya back on the losers bench soon. Hugz Tina

Hi. To answer your original question, I definately know that banding over bypass has been done. I THINK it's referred to in Weight Loss for Dummies; but I definately know that Dr. Ortiz, my original band surgeon, describes in his book that he's done it. You might want to pose your question on www.lapbandtalk.com.

Also, the Doctor in New Hyde Park is Dr. Garber. If you decide to have the Stomapx done, we'll entertain you here on Long Island! If it were ME, I'd try to have this procedure done rather than deal with yet another invasive procedure...but that's just my 2 cents.

good luck in whatever you decide.

P.S, I believe there are only 5 docs in the U.S. who do the Stomapx.
