Let us hear from you!  Go to www.rubycruises.com, and in the upper right hand corner, you may pre-register (at no cost) for next year’s cruise!  It will be once again on Mariner of the Seas, sailing on a week long adventure to the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) from Port Canaveral, near Orlando .

To date, we have nearly 200 OH’ers registered for this cruise!  WOW!  You’ll see lots of familiar faces, and some new ones too!  We currently have bariatric surgeons, a plastic surgeon, a bariatric coordinator, a nutritionist, and a fitness instructor joining in for next year’s activities.  BUT…..this is also your cruise VACATION, and a chance to meet, mingle and CELEBRATE with your fellow WLS’ers!!

ALL are welcome – pre-op’s, post-op’s, of ALL TYPES of WLS, family members and friends, so fill out your pre-registration form today!

Watch the board for more information and updates coming SOON!!

Check out my profile for pictures of MARINER OF THE SEAS from a cruise I did with my family in 12/04, and from just two weeks ago when I did an inspection tour for this year's CRUISE TO LOSE!  Make sure you check out the pictures of the Royal Promenade, ROCK CLIMBING WALL(!!!!), 18-Hole Mini Golf Course, ICE SKATING RINK (again, !!!!!!) among other points of interest!  The Royal Promenade has café’s and bistro’s, and Promenade Cabins overlooking the “main street” – these areas are actually “Inside cabins” retrofitted with a picture window overlooking the promenade!  NO OTHER CRUISE LINE offers such a great, inexpensive alternative to what would otherwise be an “Inside”!!  Each day there are various activities here, including parades, parties (70’s and 80’s parties, Mardi Gras, etc.), and while at sea, the shops along the mall are open for business!

Go to www.rubycruises.com to PRE-REGISTER – upper right hand corner.  If you have any questions, you may PM me here, email me at [email protected], or call me TOLL FREE at 866-685-RUBY (7829).

Don’t miss the boat!  C’mon and join in the FUN!!!  Talk to you SOON, and see you ONBOARD!  Remember to watch here for UPDATES!   ~ Terri

I cannot TELL you how much I am looking forward to these two Cruises to Lose - both this year's (next MONTH!!!!!) and the 2008 event!  It had been awhile since I'd been onboard Mariner, so when I did the inspection tour two weeks ago in preparation for this year's cruise, I was absolutely THRILLED by the shape she's in!  She still looks brand new!  It brought back lots of memories, and got us SO excited for the next two cruises!   Hope you can join us for next year's event!    ~ Terri

Thank you!!!  I've never been on a cruise...could be my pre-50 year Birthday present to myself!

Well, you would be in good company, because September 7, 2008 (the date of the 2008 Cruise to Lose) is also my 47th B-Day!  I plan to CELEBRATE, so if you DO decide to come, we can celebrate together!

Oct 5th of 2008 I'll be 49!  I will definitely check into this and the finances!  My son graduates from college in 5/08...so, we'll see!!

Oh man - we could have the combined birthday celebration to end all celebrations! LOL  I put the 2008 cruise together when I did to allow for easier payment options - paying it off a little at a time spread across a year is MUCH easier than having to come up with a big lump sum.  GRADUATING from college is MUCH nicer than STARTING college too, especially from the viewpoint of mom and dad's bank account!  Been there, done that! LOL  Well sort of.  Mine both started, but have not finished - they got too busy with jobs and babies!  I hope they both finish up some day, but that will have to be on THEIR dime!   Anyway, It would be so cool to have a dual Birthday Celebration onboard!!

Maybe that will have to be my reward to myself!  I hope to reach goal by then...or sooner!

Hey I am all for rewards!  It's funny you mention this.  When I reached my 100 pounds lost mark the other day I was just bouncing off the walls - giggling and crying at the same time - I was SOO HAPPY...well, after the initial "HURRAH', my better half got a little pensive.  He said to me, "I guess taking you out for dinner isn't a great way to celebrate weight loss, huh?"  LOL  It was funny!  I told him that when in doubt, DIAMONDS ALWAYS WORK!!!  But now that I think about it, a cruise is cheaper - it might not last "forever", but boy I can sure have a lot of fun in a week on a ship!

LOL @ going out to dinner!!!  I agree with the diamonds!

I was just at the site peeking around...trying to understand the costs...not sure what the 1/2 and 3/4s mean.  My deposit of $250 is due by Oct. 15th though...I figured that out!  Single folks can go right?  And would that mean I share a room with a stranger?
