OMG ... just called my insurance

Hi All -- I just called Ind. Health to ask if they had gotten everything from Dr. Caruana's office yet.  They said they have it and are working on it NOW.  If I call back later today or tomorrow, they should be able to tell me if I'm approved or not!!  Is it common to get denied by Ind. Health??  I meet all the criteria and Dr. C said he didn't see a problem getting approval.  But I'm so nervous ...

How exciting for you!  I have Independent Health Passport Plan Select. I got approved on the first try. Had lap RNY 5/29/07 with Dr. Caruana's former partner Dr. Panemanglore. Best of luck to ya!

Thanks for all the good encouraging words and crossing fingers, toes, etc.!!  Looks like it worked!   I called Ind Health back late yesterday afternoon.  The woman said, "Well, I think I have good news for you."  I was just saying, "Oh, thank you so much" when she interrupted and said, "Hold on a minute -- let me check into this further".   Put me on hold for about 10 minutes -- an eternity.  Then came back and said, "Yes, you are approved!"  I don't know why, but I felt like puking for the next few hours??!!   So now I wait for Dr C's office to call (hopefully today).  I guess you can't mess with their procedures -- don't call then, they'll call you.  Anyway, I know now that I'm approved, so I guess I can wait.  YEAH!!!!!   Thanks again everyone!!!
