I am in Baldwinsville, work in E. Syracuse, and had Dr. Kim.  He is simply amazing :)  I am very glad that I had him, I hope you like him as well.  There are also alot of support groups in the area that are really great to attend.  You learn so much more from a support group than you do from the Bariatric center.  Let me know if you need anything :)

Yes I work for them in their gen surgery office. I love Dr Kim he's a great guy. I am going to attend the meeting this month, as I am struggling with getting rid of about 6 lbs b/c I went through this tage of ohh I can eat that b/c I am having surgery and boy am I paying for it now. Any tips?

Just don't ruin what you have accomplished so far.  For my "last" supper, I didn't splurge, I ate healthy and wisely, not overeating.  I didn't want all my hard work to be ruined in just one evening.  Just choose wisely what you eat, because you might gain if you're not careful.  Good Luck!

I am and Dr. Kim is my surgeon too.  I had my second appointment today.  I really liked Dr. Kim when I met him last time.   There's a support group that meets the second Monday of the month I think.  There are others around too...like the West End, Liverpool, N Syracuse.  There's a calendar at Dr. Kim's office with all the dates.  Cheers.

I know about the support groups, they are good, at IHP. I work for Dr Simon and Dr Kim at their general surgery practice. I absolutly love Dr Kim, I've known him for 10 + years he's a great lap surgeon. I am having the lap band done, which I know doesn't  have as good results, but my PCP would not approve the bypass, nor would Dr Kim, I guess I should feel good that they were being honest. My surgery is in about 4 weeks. Good luck to you as well. Will you be attending the meetings @ IHP?

Not yet.  Hoping to get approval and will get a date on my next visit at the first of Sept.
