Okay....well I have to finally get my in-grown toenails taken care of today...I am going to lose on permanently and I am like totally freaked out by it....I know after having major surgery like RNY this should be a breeze, but I made the mistake of watching it done on YouTube....sometimes ignorance truly is bliss....Has anyone else ever had this done???  I love wearing sandals and painting my nails, I just think that I will look and feel like a total freak....Just had to get this off my chest, thank you for "listening"

Don't worry to much. This is a breeze compared to WLS!!
I had mine cut out a few yrs ago. They numb the toe with a local, and they cut out the ingrown part. That didn't hurt because your toe is numb. I still get my pedicures!! The toe nail just grows in slanted as opposed to straight. No biggie!! Easy Squeezy! LOL

I get in-grown toenails too but in the last few years they are less frequent because I get a pedicure at least twice a month if not three times a month. I also refuse to squeeze my toes into heels or shoes that are too tight through the toebed & I only wear sandals from the time it hits 54 degrees outside till it drops below 54 degrees. I don't know about having in-grown toenails medically take out, I've never had that done my Mom always took care of mine as  a kid growning up. Good Luck!!

201 pounds lost since surgery!! And I'm 2 1/2 inches taller too!!

And YES I still eat Carbs and Fats but I know what portion control is!!

I guess what bothers me the most is that I will never have a toenail on my left big toe again...I guess he is going to use acid and it will just be gone.....ewwwwwwwwwwwww...I always thought it would grow back, but he says no.  Thanks for the support....((((((((hugs))))))))))

A girlfriend of mine lost her big toenail when she was a kid. It always bothered her wearing sandals missing the one nail. Then she did something I thought was too cool. She had a daisy tattoo put on the big toe right where the nail used to be. Looks super!

ouch!!! that sounds almost more painful than the removal procedure. yes, I have tattoos and know what they feel like... but in certain areas (like tops of feet/toes, and the soft fleshy part right near the armpit) it can be really painful

LOL Yes, tops of feet are painful places to tattoo. I have both of mine done, but I love them there.
