One week down on the liquied diet from hell

This has been so hard to follow.  2 weeks of a liquid diet from hell.  I'm starving, I'm cranky, I'm tired.  But guess what?  I lost 9.5 lbs. this first week!  Can you believe that?  Too bad I couldn't keep this up.  I wouldn't need surgery then. Only one week left.  please, give me strength.

Thanks Rosemary...the eye is always on the goal. Lucky you, you didn't have to do the 2 week liquid diet.  

I had my surgery with Dr. Ren also.  She is awesome!  I found everyone the hospital very attentive and pleasant.  I'm sure you will have a good experience there also. I found the 2nd week of the liquid diet so much easier because I was so excited about the surgery getting closer.  Also I felt there was more behind me than ahead of me. You will have the strength to get through this and you will be able to continue doing the liquid diet after the surgery as well.   I also lost a lot of weight the first week and felt the same way as you do.  I lost 11lbs in the first 3 days which really was dramatic.  It did slow down but I ended up losing 18lbs by the time the big day came. You are halfway there!!!!

wow...18 lbs. in 2 weeks.  That is incredible. I liked Dr. Ren when I met her.  I'm sure this week will be easier knowing that I only have one week left to go.

You are to be commended!!  And congrats on the 9.5 pounds!  Keep your eye on the prize baby!!!  Wooohoooo!!!!!   Sooooooo happy for you!  I can't WAIT!

Good for you rachelle! I am sooo there with you! My surgeon required only a 1-day prior to surgery of liquids only, but 2 weeks of clear liquids after surgery! Tomorrow I get upgraded to full liquids- the idea of thinned cream-of-wheat and thinned puddings is just making me quiver with anticipation! You can do it, Girl!

Good for you... an you're half way there. Yes, some of us didn't have any sort of liquid diet (only a bowel prep the day before for me).... but just think, there are some surgeons that require 8-12 weeks of a medifast/optifast liquid diet Best of luck
