Britt,

Good luck!  When are you doing the run?  Have you been training for it?  If this is your first race, my advice would be not to start off to fast.  It is easy to get caught up in the excitment!  Let me know how you do.

Well, not breaking any speed records here, but hopefully semi-steady. I lost 10 at my one-week-postop appt and then 4 days later, the scale was in the same spot. Been there before, when obsessing over those numbers controlled my mood for the day with the people I love, so not going there again. I will not get on the scale again until my nutritionist appointment this coming Wed- at 2.5 wks out. It's okay, I'm not looking to break any records, just want to get healthier in months, not years, so taking it one day at a time and gaining strength and momentum from posts as inspiring as yours! So Keep 'em coming, Britt!
