GLAD YOU ARE FEELING BETTER!  my vote an achievone (ready to drink) protein drink. 9.5 ounces 20 grams of protein and tastes YUMMY! - its an iced coffee type drink. I am almost 9 months post op and still have one for breakfast everyday. hugs, Britt

Hey sweetie!

Congrats on how well you're doing!!!  I drink Carnation Instant Breakfasts in the morning.  Protein is 7 for both the CIB and milk (14 total).  I'm not a coffee drinker, so put the CIB into one of those travel coffee mugs.  I drink it on the way to work. I love the chocolate!!!   Another thing I do, we have a refrigerator at work, so I bought skim milk and some cereal for the office (along with disposable bowls and spoons).  Both seem to work great for me!  I found I stick to my plan if I prepare everything for work the night before.  I don't leave it to chance regarding meals at work.  I might be apt to get something I want to stay away from just out of the mere fact I forgot something I should be having.  Fruit is always a good idea as well. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I agree with Britt.  The achievone drinks.  I have one every morning for breakfast.  My stomach is grouchy in the morning and doesn't really handle foods right away. Hugs, Patty

I make a soy protein shake w/frozen strawberries & drink it on the LIRR. If you're looking for food-food, I like friendship low-fat whipped cottege cheese--I eat about 2/3 of a 9oz. plastic cup; it's very portable. I always have some in my fridge @ work too.

Cheri, Hi, I am 3 weeks out and I bought some  frozen veggie bites for breakfast they are by morning star they have egge and vegiterian sausage and vegtables in them. you put them in the microwave for 90 seconds. They are really good and a good source of protein. I eat two of them and I am full. Even my hubby liked them and he is a meat and potaotes kind of guy. Sheila

The shakes I make are Spiru-Tein, vanilla. There are plenty of different soy & whey mixes available @ healthfood & regular stores...others here can tell you. I need to buy the ones that are kosher. I like the taste of the Spiru-tein, but another one I drink, which is whey & supposedly better I don't enjoy as much.
