Hi Everybody -- I'm new here. Tried to post something a couple days ago, but never saw it here. Must have done something wrong. Anyway, I've been hanging out here, reading about all your experiences as I waited for my consult with Dr. Caruana for Open RNY. I've learned so much from all of you. Thanks!! I finally saw him yesterday and he said I'm a good candidate, that they will submit all the insurance and MAYBE we can do this in early October. I'm very excited and, of course, kind of nervous and scared. AnneS2bthin -- if you see this, I tried to add you as a friend, but you still show up as pending approval. Don't know if I did something wrong there too??!! Thanks!

You will get the hang of things on here in no time! I'm sure your time will fly by!! I too had my surgery with Dr C and thought he and his staff were awsome. The hospital on the other hand is a different story. Good luck on your new journey!!
