Two personal goals met this week!

Hi Sheila! If I could give you one word of advice, don't weigh too often because early out it can be really frustrating.  I stopped weighing when I found I got frustrated if I felt I had not lost what I thought I did, so it tended to work against me.  For the first year I only weighed at the doctor's office.  Now I weigh twice a month, but since I am pretty much at goal, I might change it to once a week.  You'll feel the change and see the change in your clothes, your energy level, how you look and feel, and yet sometimes the scale doesn't move at all. But continued success to you and let us know your wow moments as they happen. They're exciting to share and fun for all of us to hear! Take care, Sue

I am so happy for you!  Your post brought tears to my eyes!   I've hidden in my house as a single woman for 9 years because I knew I would weigh more than any man I might meet!  (My son, well, he's 6'3" 270)  I do understand how wonderful that must feel.  Congrats to you for all of your hard work and dedication to yourself!  You inspire me into believing if I continue the determination I have now, I can do this, too! ... and congrats to your family for their love and  understanding while you went through your metamorphosis!!

I so appreciate your response!  And I will continue to say that you are a wonderful inspiration to me and to others with your awesome positivity and enthusiasm.  I am glad that you are not hiding any more.  I know that feeling...when my boys were small, I felt even tho I was big, I was their mother and that was sort of a shield for me, but once they got big enough to go out by themselves, I felt embarrassed out by myself - I had no kids to hide behind any more. I am so blessed to have my husband, my sons, my mother, my brother, my sister-in-law, my friends, my boss...all these people have been there for me and have supported me in some way and I know that it's a blessing.
