Two personal goals met this week!

Good morning!I achieved one of my goals this week by finding out that I weigh less than my older son who is 150.  Before I started my WLS, I was bigger than all 3 men in my life.  I lost past my younger son first, then hubby and finally my older son.  That was one of my personal goals. This morning I weighed (since I go to my surgeon's support group tonight) and I weigh 143.8 which is just below my personal goal of 145.  Not only that, but I have a normal BMI of 24.7.  I think the last time my BMI was normal was when I was in-utero.So now I am in maintenance mode and will be working on keeping my weight off for the rest of my life (but doing it one day at a time.)Take care,Sue

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother, she started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She's 97 today and we don't know where the hell she is. - Ellen DeGeneres

Hi Sue,
Everyday gets better. I am still sore in the tummy area when I get up from sitting, but its not as bad as it was.
I went out and bought a scale yesterday and as of this morning (1 week out), I have lost 17lbs!! So I am very happy about that! Now I just have to figure out how to change my ticker!! LOL

Congrats to you, Debi, on the weight loss! To change the ticker, click on it and it will bring you to the page to change it (you just have to remember the password) and once you update it, it will change in your signature.  I only know that because Britt told me and I changed mine! Take care and continue doing a great job!  It will get better and better. Sue

Rosemary, Thank you for reading and acknowledging my post.  I was reading a book called Winning After Losing and too often we talk about what is going wrong and we don't often talk enough about what is going right.  It's a nice feeling. How are you doing at your two and a half months out? Take care, Sue
