I have an appointment with the surgan on Thursday for the vomiting and nasuia that I have been having. Out of everything that can go wrong thats all I have wrong. I am thrilled but at the same thing I am scared to death. Is there anyone that has had the same issues..I am so scared... Also something that I noticed is my nails are turning white under the nail. Is this anything to be concerned about... Also if there is anyone out there who knows any dishes with protine that would be good to eat please share. No sea food of any kind. Nothing with nuts.. Thanks...

I am sorry that you are going through some complications and not feeling well.  I sure hope they can get you feeling better real soon.   I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions for what might be causing these problems.   As far as the nails, I really have no idea.   You did not say how far post op you are.  Are you getting in your protein shakes and vitimans?

As far as the food one of my favorite things was to put a little pizza or spag sauce in the bottom of a pie dish,  then put some low fat ricotta cheese over it and then sprinkle with low fat monzarella cheese and then bake it until it was brown and bubbly.  YUMMO as Rachel Ray would say......lol I sure hope things get better for you.  I'm here to help as much as I can.  See we are both from the WNY area.    Sally

Sorry you're dealing with the vomiting and nausea...hoping for a simple and easy resolution. As far as protein... ~ omelets made with egg substitute or egg and reduced fat cheese and seasoning. ~ egg salad or chicken salad (i prepared these salads in a mini-food processor with light mayo and yogurt and processed till they were creamy) ~ ricotta or cottage cheese with cinnamon and Splenda or mix in sugar free preserves. ~ mix a little espresso coffee in ricotta with sweetner and add some Cool Whip Free. ~ puree chicken soup.

Hope everything goes well at the surgeon's.

Hi, I found that the Friendship lo-fat whipped cottage cheese saved me.  It was high in protein and it was well tolerated.  Good Luck at the surgeon...and make sure you take your vitamins...very important. Rosemary
