hello ,  sorry i haven't posted in a while, it's been a slow recovery for me.  after i got my drain tube taken out i started to feel better  for a few days, then i started having alot of pain, i was depress about what i had to eat and as my stages went on i was confused on what to eat.  but i'm passed the depression and what to eat stage. but for a week and a half i was in pain, but i just thought it was normal , until my husband forced me to go to the doctor. on 7/12 and my doc sent me to the emergency room. the did a ct scan, sono, blood work and urine test. after eight hour the ct scan showed i was all inflammed inside. so the sent me home with some vicatin and an antibiotic. as of today  i am starting to feel better, not in much pain vicatin  is really workin and putting me out. however i still have not gotten my strenght back. i cant wait to feel like myself again. i have lost 32lbs, i just wanted to say hello to everyone and say congrats to all whose surgeries i've missed and hope all is well, congrats on all weight losses and anniversiries. i hope all is well with everyone. love you all and god bless cheri

You poor thing.  I am sorry to hear about the complications and your depression.  The beginning can be a tough go with what to eat and what not to eat.  But I am glad that you are starting to feel better.  You will eventually get your strength back but resting is the best for you right now.  You are in my prayers.

Hi Cheri,     I'm new here. I had lap RNY on 6/13/07 and like you had almost the same complications. At my er visit they opened me up to drain the abcess. Thank god for vicadin! Then about tw weeks later surprise incision opened up again and is still draining. I'm trying to stay positive, but it can be hard.     I can't seem to figure out what to eat though, one day I'll be fine and I'll eat the same thing again and dump. I've lost 29 lbs so far but I'm getting very discouraged.     I just wanted to hear from other people in my boat.     Tammy
