plastic surgery in Ithaca, Elmira area

Has anyone had plastic surgery in the Elmira/Corning/Ithaca area?  I'm 18 months post op & ready to start plastics, but can't find the right surgeon.  I have an appointment with Dr. Jorgensen in Ithaca.  Does anyone know anything about him?  I already saw Dr. McCarvie in Corning.  I have a consult with Dr. Anthony in Elmira, but I know his costs will be too high.  Any help that you could give me would be appreciated.   Kathy In Horseheads

Dr Cole referred me to Dr Hiel. I believe she's in Corning. I think it's a she! My friend just had plastic surgery in March, but I don't recall her surgeon's name. I will have to ask her and let you know. Jen Halliday 

Jen   Thanks for your reply.  I think Dr. Heil is in with Dr. Anthony.  I've heard that they both do great work, but are very expensive.  I had to reschedule my consult with Dr. Anthony due to my work schedule.  His consult fee is $250.    Are you comfortable doing plastic surgery in this small community?  I'm really nervous, but I don't want to travel very far due to follow up visits.      Do you need more than one procedure?  I'm interested in lower body lift (or at least extended tummy tuck), arm lift, breast lift & bra fat removed.  Then after all of that I would love to have a full facelift.  I'm 53 years old & since losing 100 lbs I look very wrinkly!!! I texted my friend and she said her plastic surgeon was Dr. McCorvey in Corning. She said she was extremely happy with him and she just went yesterday to have her "dogears" taken care of. I am very comfortable with having plastic surgery done in this smal community because I had my RNY done here. Why not plastics? Sure, Horseheads and Elmira are small, but they have extremely talented and exceptionally precise surgeons here that love doing good for their patients. If I didn't have faith in them, Dr Cole would never have touched me! I say just have faith in them. They work very hard for you and do any amazing job. They literally are perfectionists because they want you to look your best and feel better about yourself. If and when I get plastic surgery done, it will be multiple procedures. I have a bad apron gut, I feel anyway. I have skin on my thighs, butt and inner thighs that needs removing. Also, my boobs need skin removal and lifted. I do not want a breast augmentation at all. I've been a double/triple D before and it thrills me not!! I do not wish to ever go back there. So, just a lift for my girls so they don't just look like they're hanging out down by my belly button....or where my belly button is hiding behind folds of skin! My batwings are massive, but frankly I'm afraid of the brachioplasty! So, I can live with them for now.  That's my wishlist of plastic surgery. I guess a LBL would be in order, eh? I'll start looking into it in a little bit, maybe in a few months.  Jen Halliday 

Jen,   Thanks for the info.  I interviewed Dr. McCorvey and I really liked him & felt comfortable.  Except...he's soo young.  I didn' t  feel like he had enough experience with weight loss surgery patients.  He didn' t have any before & after pictures that I could see either.   Does your friend have any before & after pics?  I'd love to see some.  His prices were reasonable & he seemed to think that I would get good results with just an extended abdominoplasty--that a lbl wasn't necessary.  My feeling was that my butt is drooping so low I almost don't need to bend to sit down....lol.  I really think it needs to be lifted.   I'm with you on the breast augmentation.  I just want a lift, no implants.  I've had big boobs for way tooooo long.  It's time for small & perky. How did your friend make out with her dog ears?  I've heard that dog ears are quite common after a tummy tuck.
