Good Morning OH,

I just got home and received wonderful news about Joann’s surgery this is what her husband wrote………………

Hello.  This is Joann's husband Louis.  I wanted to give you an update on JoAnn's surgery and condition: The surgery happened yesterday morning.  It lasted about 2 1/2 hours.  The doctor's came out about 10:30 and told me that the surgery had been very sucessful.  She went to recovery and was there until abut 2 PM where she had a private room. I have been with her most of the visiting hours yesterday and today and she is resting comfortably.   She went for 2 walks today and she had a "succulent" dinner tonight, ice chips.  Believe her, after 2 days of no food or water, ice chips are like surf and turf.  He has this gas pain in her left side but it is expected due to the inflation of the abdomen area for the operation.  She was in a little more pain today (muscle pain) as she walked and was moving her legs around a lot.   When the doctors came in today, they told us that the surgery had been textbook, which is the best news I heard so far. Bottom line is that she is doing fine and is right on schedule for this type of surgery.   JoAnn wanted to thank everybody for their thoughts and best wishes from all.  It means a lot to both of us. As I have further opportunities to give you updates I will.  Thank you for everything. Louis.
