Hi Lili.
Sounds like you're on your way. I'm pretty new here myself, but I can assure you that you're in the right place for support.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Hi Lili, my name is Jeanine and I am in the exact same boat you are in, except my insurance company is MVP here in NY and they require you lose 5% of your weight before surgery to prove you are committed.  I have already lost about 8 lbs, so I only need to lose maybe another 6 or so??  Anyway, I pray they dont make me wait 6 months..I am ready NOW!  My seminar date is 7/26 and my primary MD has given me the referral and letter of medical necessity.  My daughter had it done a year and a half ago.  She started at 315 and is now 145. She looks amazing. She's 28, I am 54. The surgery may not be as easy for me, but I am determined. Its not about looks for me, I want and need to have more energy and be able to enjoy life without the handicap of so much weight bogging me down.  I look forward to your friendship and caring & sharing the experience with you every step along the way.  Jeanine

Oh, it not about looks for me so much either...I mean who wouldn't want to look better?  But the thing is I cannot breathe correctly and my chest hurts from so much weight from my breats.  It is so uncomfortbale that even exercise is usually out of the question.  And my legs constatly hurt from the chafing.  I always feel nauseous too.  i don't know why I d d this to myself but it is time for a change.    I really wonder if having polycysitc ovarian syndrome is going to affect any of the doctors decision on what to do but I hope now.  Thank you all so much for your support.   -Lili

Your POS shoudl not hinder your WLS.  I can certainly relate to having 46DDD and still spilling out of my bra.  I hate these huge knockers!  My back kills me.  Fortunately, I guess...my legs are not very big.  All my weight is belly and boobs. I dont have a huge butt or thighs. Regardless, check out Oprah's special bra she recommends for exercise of women who are busty.  http://www.enell.com/news.html   I have one and it is fabulous.  Have a god day.  Jeanine

Yes, my back is horrible...it hurts every day and especially at night in bed.  Thanks for the bra site they look great.  A good sports bra is hard to find.

They can be a little pricey but I got one on ebay.  Good Luck. Always glad to help out.  Jeanine
