I got a surgery date----AHHHHHHH
So I have completed all of my testing and have all of my stuff submitted to the doctor and now they are ready to submit to the insurance company. They have to put down a tentative date for insurance and we decided on August 10th. It's a Friday and then I can take it easy all weekend long. I have a job that basically doesn't require much physical activity. Is it realistic for me to think I can be back on Monday? All you banders let me know if I will be pushing it. AHHHH August 10th not even a month a way!!!!!

WOW that is great hun and congrats on your tentative date.
I hope all goes well and you get your approval quickly. I am sure some banster will let ya know if that is enough time, I had the RNY and I was out of work for 3 weeks.
Take care

Hello and congrats on your surgery date! I think you should consider taking a few days off the week after to be safe. I know recovery is different for each individual, but you will be rather sore after the surgery and a 2-day recovery period may not be enough. I got my surgery on Tuesday, July 10, and I decided to go back to work the following Monday. Mind you, I work from home but I didn't want the stress of having to worry about work and trying to do what I need to do to have a quick but safe recovery. Either way, good luck to you!
