Life After Surgery?
Thank you all so much for your replies. I feel much better hearing all of your recovery stories.
I gave birth to two 9lb babies with no drugs and no epidurals. I had sinus surgery four years ago. I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 21. Every time I was an "excellent patient" *****covered well and with no problems. I tolerate pain pretty well, so I'm not too worried about that.
I think that I am mostly worried about feeling like I'm going to throw up all the time. It's such an unpleasant feeling and I would be so miserable if that was what life was like after surgery. Some people on other boards talk as if every hour of the day is just one big battle not to vomit. I don't know if it's because they're forcing things into their pouches that they shouldn't, or if they eat too fast, or what, but I know that I want to avoid that at all costs!
Thank you again. This board is so supportive and friendly.
Hi,don't worry.I have lost 120 lbs since around december.I had surgery jan 4 th o7.My life could'nt
be better.I have more energy and the doctors have stopped ALL my pills.I eat everything with the exception of sweets and no soda at all.The only issue I have ever had is if I eat too fast.I used to eat really fast before surgery.I just take my time now.I'm able to eat fruits and veggies.I have had to buy all new clothes and don't know where I will level off so i can't really buy a lot at once. The best of luck to you, Bob
