It is all really trial and error... I am 9 months out and I can't tolerate pizza dough or wraps.  one bite and it is like lead in my stomach.  When I am really craving Pizza I buy one of those boxed Chef-Boyardee pizza kits and make my own adding Pizza Cheese on it.  The crust is more pastry like and flaky so I can tolerate it.  I can usually eat about 1 piece of an 8 cut pie when I eat that kind.  sometimes even a bite or two off a second piece but that is about it.  It satisfies my craving and then I am happy for a few weeks.  LOL I would check with your nutritionist first though. I will never eat pizza or pasta again.  They're the reason I'm fat..er, because I couldn't stop eating them ...1/2 lb of pasta or 3 pieces of pizza at a sitting!!!  UG...devil foods for me...lol  ps- I LOVE THEM BOTH!...lol

I was advised by my nutritionist to not eat the crust because of the poor nutritional value of the crust. Why fill your pouch up with stuff that's marginally good for you at best? Why not fill it up with things that are going to benefit your body. I agree with Ken_P: Why eat it? I have tried the toppings off pizza since surgery, but I can count on one hand how many times I've done that because the toppings just aren't worth it. Why eat it when I can get better nutrition from other things? I do, however, agree with other posters that've said once in a while to satisfy a craving they'll make their own. Good. Do that. Make sure you're getting good nutrition, though. Good luck. Jen Halliday

I agree with the others that it is a hit and miss situation.   My daughter and I are both post-op and one day were craving pizza so we bought a pre-made whole wheat crust (bobili) and made our own.  We made it as nutritional as possible by putting some ricotta cheese on it along with the monszarella cheese, some veggies and no pepperoni.   We were only able to have a small slice each so we had lots of left overs.  The whole wheat crust was ok but I didn't eat the outer edge because it was a little too much.    I believe if we try to go through life depriving ourselves of certain things we are going to sabatoge our goal in the long run.  I heard a very wise WLS graduate once say that having one piece of something or one bite of something was not going to make us instantly fat again.  It is when we don't stop at one bite or one piece that the trouble begins, but that life isn't worth living if you never enjoy anything you eat ever again.      Good luck to you Sally
