Heading to Lake George, Schroon New York Area

Hi, my name is Claire and I am from Maryland, my sister has a son working in the Schroon  area with the theater and some of us are going up to see him.  We are looking for accommodations (either Hotel or cabins) in that area and any other neat things to do!  We are going the end of this month July and staying for 6 days.  Anyone in those areas or been there. Not sure about hotels but my family just went to Great Escape on July 4th. We had a great time even though we got rained out early. You can type in Lake George and do a hotel search and attractions. Good luck. Christine

Hi Clair,The Ramada inn glens falls is nice and not too costly.Great escape is your typical amusement park,but nice.Yuo have to take a trip to Saratoga for a few hours.It's a horse town and very classy.when in lake george,go to the log Jam for dinner,they have a killer salad bar and very good food.If you have time,the paddle boat,Minnie Ha Ha, gives a very nice tour of the lake.Hope this helps,I have a soft spot in my heart for maryland,I used to live on the eastern shore in Salisbury.Bob
