I CHICKENED OUT
Tessie -
I don't think you are the first person this happened to, get on the phone asap and reschedule, Pre - op testing is nothing. You can't do it the day of surgery, because your doctor needs the info before he does surgery, just in case, there are any problems. Just t oput your mind at ease, they will take your weight, medical history, blood and urine sample. I also, had to do an ekg which was nothing, pre op testing isn't bad. Just so you know I never had any type of surgery before I had my bypass, so I understand why you would feel overwhelmed and scared. What helped me was focusing on the end results. I knew being overweight was slowly killing me; I had no life. I am going 5 year post op and I can honestly say it was the best thing I ever did. I would go thru all the fear and uncertainty again with out hesitation.
Call you doctor office RESCHEDULE tell them the truth; don't be ashame, they are there to help you.

Tessie:
I know exactly what you were feeling- It is the most important decision you will ever make in your life! I feel badly for you and the stress of all of this for you. Beleive me when I tell you, this will forever change your life- no going back. I had my surgery on June 4 and have lost 35 pounds in one month! I am thrilled for the opportunity to re-gain my life. What I was doing prior to surgery was not living- it was existing.
Make a list of all of things that you want to do once you lose weight- I made one and it has been awesome at my progress thus far,
Second thoughts are normal and everyone feels them- Dont be embarassed- Second thoughts are normal!
Good luck and let us know how you are doing-
Hugs- Vicki
