Debi, Try not to be too nervous.  If I remember, they will draw blood on you, do a chest x-ray, a physical exam, a urine test, just to make sure you have no problems prior to surgery. During my physical exam, they thought I had a hardness in my calf and made me go get a sonagram of my leg to make sure there were no blockages.  (There weren't).  I realized later that the hardness they felt could have been muscle because I live on a 3rd floor walk up, but I didn't think of it at the time.  I was glad they were that thorough, tho. My testing took a few hours and some of it was waiting to go from this exam room to that lab, etc. Good luck and it will sail by! Sue

Debi, The tests include a ekg and blood work.  They did have to take about 5 vials of blood...that was hard because my body didn't want to give up the last one.  It was just time consuming...nothing scary. I know just how scared you are...I was totally petrified.  Like I told Tessie...I had thoughts of bolting when I was in pre-op on the day of the surgery.  But, I am so glad that I didn't.   Keep the faith...I am here for you!! Are you still at a plataue?   I can't get the scale to budge no for anything and I am getting so upset by it.  I feel like such a failure right now.   I have to be doing something wrong, but short of going back to a liquid diet I am not sure what to do.   I just want to loose.   Hope you are having better luck then I am in that area.  Sally
