Splish Splash Friday July 6th!

Ok i know this is out of nowhere however a couple of families are planning on meeting at Splish Splash in Riverhead this Friday July 6th for a day of fun in the sun.  I am extending this invite to all the NY boards in hopes that some of you can make it.  We did this last year and had so much fun.  I hope some of you can come.  As long as the weather permits its a go for Friday.  Anyone interested or need directions or information email me or here is the website http://www.splishsplashlongisland.com/   LisaMarie

LisaMarie, I'm taking my daughter for her 3rd bday on the 22nd.  What stop is it on the LIRR?  We also want to go Atlantis Marine World which I think is a walk away from Splish Splash?  We want to stay the weekend, do you know if their are any hotels/motels around there?

I'm a little familiar with Riverhead since I grew up there and Splish Splash water park is off LIE Exit 72.  Even if you take the LIRR to Riverhead, you will still need to hop a taxi to get to the water park and then Atlantis.  The water park and Atlantis marine world are not within walking distance of each other.  You will need to arrange some other form of transport.  There are a few hotels in Riverhead now.  One off of LIE Exit 72 and another new one right on Route 58 off of LIE Exit 73.  The hotels would probably be better at arranging a cab for you.  Riverhead is not a big public transport hub but there may be taxi options.

I am going but you know that already!!! i think its me and u that started this gathering!!!! SO far the weather is 81 humid and chance of a late  day strom but that sounds perfect!

Thanx so much Trish! It was either splishsplash or Sesame Place which I don't have money for this year or any idea how to get there from NYC.  So it's splishsplash this year.  I guess I'll wing it  in Riverhead :)
