Plans for Independence
Sounds like you have an exciting week planned!!!!!!!!!!! Mine will be the same as every other week. My job is the 24/7/365 kind so I get very few holidays off. I will work the afternoon shift. We will have plenty of firework complaints to handle, I am sure. Not sure why people can't just accept that they are illegal in NY state and stop breaking the law by having them. Oh well, job security is how I think of it..............lol.
Gonna try to continue to get in my walks. Might do an overtime shift on Friday which is my day off. My son is coming home from Rochester Friday night and staying home for the weekend because my ex husband is getting remarried and no matter how hard the kids try, they can't figure out of a way to attend the so called "festivities". They are going to go put in their appearence and call it good enough.
Just hope the weather is nice so everyone can enjoy their outdoor activities with their familes.

I hear fireworks near my house every year..and not the ones they fire off legally at Colgate University!
I know about trying to get walks in! That's why I had to plan the next few days out!!
Hopefully the kids will manage. It has to be uncomfortable. I've been a single mom 19 years...broke up with an ex-boyfriend 9 years ago 7/9... and only one date in that time. Not sure I'd know what to do if someone asked me out, much less to remarry!
Fingers crossed for good weather!
I have only been divorced for about 3 years. Was married for 25 years before that. My ex was the only man I had ever dated. I did date a little right after the divorce and realized that was not a good idea......lol. Way to soon. Then I got real smart and knew I had to take care of me. I wouldn't want me the way I was (my weight, health issues, ect...... ) so why would a man?
Being single has not been as bad as I thought it would be. Took me awhile to get used to it. I do hope that God has someone special out there for me to spend my life with, but I will wait on his timing. It feels good to just be taking care of me for awhile.
I did learn that if and when I do start to date some day it is going to be at a very slow snail pace.......lol
Have a great 4th of July.
I hear ya! I've been divorced since '90, single for 9 years and only 1 date in that time period. I've had many years a alone hours to reflect on life and have a direction set for myself. If I'm blessed enough to have someone beside me at some point, that's awesome, otherwise, my independence and love for and from my family will sustain me!
Hope your 4th is great, too!
