Hi Ho Oh'ers!!

What's everyone got planned for the Holiday?   Parties, picnics, work?  Menus?  Exercise?

Today ~ I am doing laundry, putting items together that don't fit me anymore.  Washing them, taking pics and going to try to re-coop some cashola on eBay.  I had some leftover mashed taters for brekky, ricotta with chipotle mustard for lunch and plan on a turkey burger and asparagus for dinner.  I will go for a nice walk later this afternoon.

Monday ~ Volunteered to work so others can have the day off.  Tanning and CURVES after work.  My meals today will be protein drink for breakfast, egg salad for lunch and a veggie burger for dinner.  Loads of Wyler's sugar free pink lemonade!

Tuesday ~ My 30th Reunion from High School.  The plan is to get together for a family picnic at the ball fields.  We'll probably play some volleyball and softball!  Who knows what I'll eat today. There is a block party later on, about 7 lasting until Midnight, then we're all supposed to gather in the bar at the Colgate in basement.

Wednesday ~ WOOWOO Happy 4th...lol  I'll be selling my jewelry at the Farmer's Market.  I did pretty good last year, so hope to this year, too!  BBQ with friends and then a nice long walk to the fireworks!

Your posts with all the ultra-cool smilies always make me smile.    You have such awesome energy and I hope someday I can put forth even a fraction of that much positive energy! I'm not quite sure what the week holds f or me.  My husband  is coming home tonight after being out of town all week, so my son and I are looking f orward to that.  :)  Tomorrow will be family Day, maybe Darien Lake during the day and a drive-in at night; most likely the same for Tuesday; no idea yet for Wednesday, and my hubby goes back to work on Thursday.  He's a teacher and he does the summer school thing.  We'll probably be out at Letchworth Pines on Friday night for Wyoming County Idol, my husband will be trying out again this year.  He came in 4th last year and he's hoping  to better that this year.  And that's about  it f or me, I won't be finding out anything new on the WLS front because Dr. Caruana's  office is closed for the week, but I'm hoping I'll hear from them next week... Enjoy your reunion and go knock their socks  off!!! Flo

Letchworth  Pines is right near Letchworth Park.   It's a bar/restaurant/bowling  alley and they do the Wyoming County Idol contest every year.   Last  year was the first time my hubby entered but I'm thinking it'll be a yearly thing from now on.  He sings classic rock, with some  country thrown in too.   He's actually pretty good too!     The competition runs every Friday night until August 10th, or until  he gets, dare  I say  it....eliminated.   I'm hoping I'll be able to get there at least a couple of times to watch, but it's too far away and it runs too late for me to take my son. We love Darien Lake too!  We live right around the corner so we get season passes every year, and we definitely get  our money's worth!  *lol* You're right, the waiting is tough, but  I'm hoping  it w ill all be worth it! Take care... Flo

Well hello there!    We went to a BBQ on the water at a friend's house yesterday. Had a great time with lots of friends whom we have known for years and years.  When we got home at midnight, a big furry, loveable beige mutt greeted us in the driveway. The poor thing was panting, and shaking in obvious distress. Never saw him before. What the heck were we supposed to do? I just wanted my bed at that point. It ends up that the owner had ID tags on the dog so I was able to contact the owners who were in Westchester at a family reunion. ( A looong way from us.) She was frantic because her elderly neighbor was in charge of watching the dog and the poor thing got loose and walked about 2 1/2 miles on the expressway to our house. It was really a miracle that the dog (Kat) was not hurt. She said that she would come immediately home but hubby and I told her to enjoy herself and Kat could stay the night. You can tell how much the family loved the dog. SOOOOO to make a long story short we had a strange furry guest sleep over last night and my pupster  was just about the sweetest hostess I've ever seen. She was so good with Mr. Strange Mutt. Kat was picked up this afternoon by the owner who was so grateful and wanted to give us a reward. Can you imagine??? We told her to just PAY IT FOWARD and hugged.  (Very Touching) AWWWWWWWWW. They promised that they would. It was such a strange night. Today, just when the dog Kat was leaving my 2 brothers and my daughter & her hubby came over for a BBQ. We had a super time. DD is off this week and wants to hang with me. Who would have thought that just a few years back she would want to actually be with her MOM. We'll play it by ear but I would like to go on lots of walks and hikes. No plans as of yet for the FOURTH. Something is sure to come up. Eating went perfectly too. I have now lost FIFTY pounds as of this morning. Talk to you soon~~ Diane P.S. I changed my avitar. I might take this one away too.  I just feel very uncomfortable with my pictures. I really am shy. I might even delete this post. It's too long and I'm over tired. LOL
